What To Know When Buying Bar Stools
Bar stools can compliment your kitchen by adding pops of colour and extra, tucked away seating. They can turn your kitchen island into an additional table where children can do work or adults can have conversations. They have become multi-functional and extremely useful in any kitchen.
Here are some facts to know before buying bar stools.
Back or No Back
Before purchasing your bar stools, think about whether or not you want them to have a back. Without a back, the stools can become invisible as they can be tucked away under a counter, creating a sleek and clean look. Having a back can create a more comfy feel as you can sit for hours and not have to worry about sitting up straight with no support.
Height
Depending on where your bar stool will go, you want to measure the height of them. If they will be place at your kitchen counter or island, then measure the counter height and stool height. This way, you can see how tall they can be while leaving enough room for people and the stool to fit under the counter. If you do not take these measurements into account, then the stool may be too tall and scratch the counter or anyone using them may be unable to fit under the counter.
Seat Cushion
The fabric of your stool can dictate whether or not you need a seat cushion. If you will be using your stools constantly, then have a seat cushion on a wooden stool is beneficial. You can have more comfort this way. If you have wooden stools, seat cushions can also add a pop of colour if the stool is white, brown or black, complimenting surrounding furniture.
