Unfortunately, if you’re trying to get into the market. That makes it even more difficult to own a condo in the city. Unless you’re willing to go to smaller units.
Bachelor, or studio, apartments, and condo units. Have traditionally been popular with anyone wanting to minimize their rent or mortgage payments.
But, if you’ve never actually lived in one. You may not know just how cramped it can feel trying to live in a single room. Or not much more than a single room.
But by using a few tips for furnishing the unit. You can maximize the space, your enjoyment of it and have a cool looking décor too.
Create Your Own Rooms
If you have a bachelor apartment, you can create a division in the space using a couch, bookcase and/or curio cabinet to separate your living areas.
Use Contemporary Furniture Styles
Whether it’s a sofa or coffee table, contemporary styles are generally less bulky and have a smaller footprint than more traditionally-styled furniture.
Use a Day Bed or Sofa Bed
In a bachelor apartment, day beds and sofa beds eliminate the need for separate bed and sofa and the space they consume. Even if you have a separate bedroom, it never hurts to have a place where guests can sleep.
Saving money on housing costs doesn’t mean you must sacrifice all your living space, at least if you know how to furnish your space for living!
