Top Paint Colours for The Bedroom
Are you thinking about redecorating your bedroom? Usually, the bedroom furniture suite you choose dictates the décor of the room, including paint colours.
However, whether it’s the amount of time we’ve been spending indoors recently or just a need for something different, we’ve noticed a shift in popular paint colours for the bedroom. The rule of thumb for bedroom paint used to be to use colours that create a calming effect, perfect for rest and relaxation.
But, whether in the master bedroom or guest rooms, it looks like wall colours have become a little bolder this year.
3 Bedroom Paint Colour Combinations
Yes, that’s right, in addition to the inclusion of some bolder colours, colour combinations are taking over bedroom décor.
- Navy & White – Navy is one of those bolder wall colours we’ve been talking about. Whether it’s the rich deep hue, or not wanting to get away entirely from more traditional bedroom colours, designers are using white paint for most of the room, and a single navy blue wall as the accent wall.
- Cream & Chocolate – Fair warning, you might not want a colour combination that makes your mouth water! But there’s no denying these earth tones lend themselves well to relaxing natural textures, like wood and wicker. The room feels like a place you want to relax.
- Sky Blue & Sunshine Yellow – There’s isn’t a cloud to be found hanging over this bright and happy combination. Yellow and blue are a complementary favourite colour combination for many different applications, and they work just as well in the bedroom. And if you do prefer a calmer bedroom design, fear not, that calm sky blue is the dominant colour while yellow plays the perfect accent.
